Taylor Fuel Control completed a comprehensive refuelling infrastructure system for Windfarm support vessels at Barrow-in-Furness. 

This complete system comprised:

• New 60,000 litre double skinned fuel storage tank

• Filtration system

• Interconnecting and fully monitored buried double skin pipework

• Two high volume, high speed remote refuellers attached to the new pontoon at dock side

The interstitial space in the pipes is constantly monitored for leaks between the tank and the dispensing cabinets, with automatic shutdown of the system preventing fuel spillages. 

This provides peace of mind and financial security for the client, along with vital protection for the environment.

The Barrow-in-Furness windfarm generates green electricity to power nearly 600,000 homes.
